"Moon Music is a fusion of sounds from space and music from the Planet Earth.
We’ve watched the moon rise from the mountains of Oregon, set on the beaches of Hawaii, eclipse in the Yucatan, wane on the Mekong Delta….a universe of moons, accompanied by the cacophony of creatures, music and laughter. Moon Music is World music, outer space music, and inner space music. Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Latin, Crickets, Frogs, Waves and Wind.
Chelsea Luker and Dan Duval are the co-leaders of the band, Moon Music, from Portland, OR. For this show, they bring the Half Moon for an intimate concert featuring the many journeys the Jazz genre has taken around the globe. With Guitars, Saxophone, Flute and Voice, we will visit Brazil, Africa, Europe, Iceland, Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, and of course a few choice American compositions, plus some of Moon Music's original work. This will not be strictly Jazz, but a showcase of the lives it has touched."
